Me and Fitness
Throughout school I felt I never had the true opportunity to develop my fitness, but I have great appreciation to my parents who introduced me to the industry in my mid teens. Both my parents (coming from a gym instructing and fitness background), led me to join a local gym at the age of 16, where I then found the freedom in developing my fitness at a frequency, rate and intensity that suited my enjoyment and physical outcomes.
The development of my overall fitness worked hand in hand with boosting my lifelong passion and dedication for various styles of dancing.
2010 was a massive breakthrough year for me, which led to great success in achieving personal goals and making a huge impact within the industry of modeling and fitness. Placing first in a Miss Bikini competition I entered really made me feel proud of my achievements as I could see I had come such a long way.
2011 has been a crucial year for me in stepping closer to my goals of developing my personal training business promoting myself through the media and also enhancing my involvement with professional dancing!
2012 I will be competing in Miss Universe with the intentions of winning Fitness England and Britain, competing in Fitness Europe, with then the intention to progress my modelling career into competitions within the USA
The most important thing to remember is you if you have a dream, you should follow it and never give up! If you are not happy in yourself then you need to make changes, you need the motivation to achieve them changes and the patience. Things take time at the end of the day but with the right guidance you will reach your goals.
Dance
Dancing for me started at the age of 4 where I joined my local dance school Sapphire school of the Arts, over many years I studied for my exams in Tap Ballet, and modern working my way up through numerous levels. I participated in the schools shows every year as well as competing in Ballet and Jazz. As time went on my repertoire of dancing developed further into street, Jazz, Cha cha, rumba and other popular dance crazes. I started Salsa dancing at the age of 16 and qualified as a professional Associate of the UKA Teachers of Dancing in January 2007, I have been teaching ever since on a weekly basis at numerous venues around Essex.
Teaching has been an amazing achievement for me, I enjoy seeing people laugh and develop their dancing over time, salsa has a great social aspect and I have had the pleasure to meet and work with some fantastic dancers over time.
I started dancing with my new dance partner at the beginning of 2011 and we performed at the Essex Latin festival in August.
Moving forward I will be performing at numerous venues around Essex and London so keep your eyes peeled and keep reading to find out where I'll be!
Art
Throughout school apart from dancing and keeping fit my 3rd biggest passion in life is my Art, I have been a commissioned portrait artist for numerous years now, selling my work to friends, family, businesses and even gyms. I enjoy painting in my spare time and particularly focus on pets, transport, music, dance and of course fitness!
